  • Bible Study will resume on Wednesday, September 15th. Pastor is asking that we dedicate the next seven weeks to praying for our church leadership, our members and our community.
  • ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???? REDSKINS? COWBOYS? McNABB? ROMO? THE SEASON OPENER IS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12. The Men's Ministry of PGCC will take in game at the Buffalo Wild Wings located in Vista Gardens at 7:15 pm. Wear your PGCC shirt (and your Redskins/Cowboys jerseys, hat's, etc.) and let football fans in the area know that the PGCC Iron Men are fans of Jesus as well as their favorite football team. • PGCC Men’s Ministry: Brothers save the weekend of September 25-26 for our Annual Men’s Weekend. This year’s theme is “Men Moving in the Spirit”. On Saturday, September 25 at 9:00 a.m., our annual retreat will be held at The Clubhouse @ Regent Park, 9801 Hillandale Way, Mitchellville, MD 20721. Reverend Terence Johnson of First Baptist of Glenarden will be our guest speaker. Sunday, September 26 at 9:00 a.m. come prepared to receive a powerful word from Reverend Brian Edmonds of Zion Church. Additional details are coming shortly so stay tuned.
  • Women's Week 2010. Save these dates! Our theme, "Persevering: Running The Race That Is Set Before Us" is taken from Hebrews 12:1. "Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." We will learn to release those things that hold us back and to persevere while running the race of womanhood. Mark your calendars -- October 17: Fitness Challenge; October 20: Revival; October 23: Prayer Breakfast; and October 24: Women's Day Service.
  • The Session is continuing to work on the response to the marketing study from Robert H. Smith School of Business consultants and look forward to sharing the results at a later date. As we proceed, there will be numerous opportunities for members of our congregation to participate in the planning and implementation process.
  • PER CAPITA ASSESSMENT: The Per Capita Assessment is the amount asked of each member to help pay for the administrative operations of the three governing bodies of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Our 2010 Per Capita Assessment is $31.00. The majority of this amount ($24.12) will go to support the National Capital Presbytery, and the remaining will support the General Assembly ($6.15) and Synod of the Mid Atlantic ($0.73). PGCC asks that each adult member pay their $31.00 assessment by September 26, using the envelop marked “Per Capita Assessment” included in your box of offering envelopes.
  • The Finance Ministry is asking our members to use your offering envelopes. This will help us to accurately maintain the giving records.
  • The Hospitality Ministry is seeking a Ministry Head and new team members to serve one or two Sundays a month. If interested, please contact Elder Naomi Hunt Mable at 301-520-1390 or via e-mail.
  • The tribe receiving new members today is the Simeon tribe (Sister Carolyn Ross and Sister Nema Manuel are the tribe leaders).
  • CDs and tapes of sermons are available after worship.
