The Administration Ministry consists of several roles and activities that provide support to the Pastor, Elders, and Ministry Heads to aid in the management and communication functions of the Church.
Sister Deneen Worrell is the Administrator.
The Bible Study ministry is aimed at strengthening one’s understanding of the Word of God while making practical life applications. Taught by Rev. Dr. Edward P. Harding, Jr., the study gears levels of teaching to beginning, intermediate, and more advanced students. Bible Study is held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Flowers High School. This ministry seeks to fulfill the praise and worship of God through the ministry of dance (dance that is pleasing and Christ-centered). The dance team will minister before the congregation to usher in a spirit of reverence, worship and celebration. The ministry prepares the congregation to receive the Word of the Lord brought forth during the message and celebrates the goodness of God through dance during special occasions and services. Deacon Robyn Bouknight is the Ministry Leader.
The Couples Ministry helps church members and friends cultivate God-centered marriages and families. Through a variety of biblically- and spiritually -based activities, this Ministry helps couples build and maintain strong, positive, satisfying relationships with one another, with their families and with God. The Couples Ministry, which includes couples who are married, engaged and those who are contemplating marriage/engagement, provides a network for information, support, encouragement and fellowship.
This ministry is focused on young women between the ages of 11 and 18 to affirm and underscore the positive aspects of passing from childhood to womanhood. We heighten their excitement, anticipation, awareness and responsibility that come with the territory of womanhood. We instill the understanding that their person – the Spiritual, the Physical and the Intellectual – is SACRED and that they are Loved, Respected, and Valued in their community. Deacons assist the Pastor in the nurturing of the congregation. Deacons minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless and to any who may be distress. They also assist in serving Communion. Deacons are elected and ordained for this lifetime office. Deacon Neal Downing is the Ministry Leader.
Elders work to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation. Elders work with the Pastor in leadership and government of the church and in ecumenical relationships. Elders minister to those in need and assist in serving communion. Elders are elected and ordained for a lifetime. Elder Willine Carr is the Session Clerk.
The main function of the Evangelism & Outreach Ministry is to win souls to Christ. This is carried out through various outreach activities and events, including street witnessing, hosting revivals and special services, conducting seminars, and distributing tracts and other spiritual readings.
The Finance Ministry is a group of anointed volunteers who serve in stewardship/trusteeship roles in support of the mission of the Church. The ministry has the fiduciary responsibility to collect, record, and manage the Church’s financial contributions and other income, develop and monitor the church’s budget, manage its expenses, provide for review of books and records, and report to the Session and congregation on financial matters. In addition, the ministry manages all vendor and banking relationships. Elder Charles Lawson is the Ministry Leader.
The Health Ministry was envisioned by Dr. Vernon C. Smith, as a ‘Church Service’ dedicated to providing Information, Education, Health Services, and a resource for other ministries. The Health Ministry is dedicated to serving the Prince George's Community Church as well as neighboring communities. Members of Prince George's Community Church who have knowledge or expertise in any health-related field are encouraged to participate in the Health Ministry. Dr. Wayman Brown is the Ministry Leader.
The purpose of this ministry is to create an environment conducive to fellowshipping with one another after worship services, special programs, and events. This team extends a heartfelt and loving welcome to members, guests, and friends and provides light refreshments.

The purpose of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry is to manifest the biblical commandments of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ that we should always pray and not faint. We are dedicated to laying a foundation of prayer through teaching the principles of prayer; interceding on behalf of others; equipping the saints for service; and empowering the saints in their spiritual development as Disciples of Christ. In collaboration with the church ministries we seek to establish Prince George’s Community Church as a house of prayer. Deacon Flora Rice is the Ministry leader. The Lighthouse is a community-based ministry organized to conduct and operate educational, charitable, cultural, spiritual, and other activities to strengthen individuals and build strong communities with particular emphasis on youth development and achievement. Elder Shirley Wilson-Ulmer is the President.
The Men’s Ministry (to which all men of the church belong) is dedicated to encouraging, supporting and equipping men to grow in their relationship with God, and let the light of Christ shine in their personal and work lives. This ministry is responsible for the audiovisual systems during worship services, special programs and events as well as the PGCC website. The purpose of this ministry is to connect and communciate with people internally and externally throughout the world with information about Prince George’s Community Church and the love of Christ by utilizing web-based technology.
Sister Cindy Alexis-Curvan is the Ministry Leader.
The Music Ministry glorifies God with voices, instruments, and dance. The ministry helps usher the congregation into the presence of God and prepares the congregation to receive the Word. The Music Ministry includes: the Praise Team, Adult, Youth and Male Choirs, and Liturgical Dance Ministry.
Dr. Donnell Josiah is the Minister of Music.
The Newsletter Ministry produces the quarterly church newsletter. This ministry combines inspirational articles, general information (i.e., church calendar, harvest report), and children's activities to produce a newsletter that is uplifting, informative, and, as appropriate, fun.
Elder Gwen Dunn is the Ministry Leader.
The Singles Ministry addresses the spiritual and social needs of single adult Christians (never married, divorced, engaged, widowed). The Ministry provides Bible-based teachings and other information addressing issues of special concern to single persons, provides prayer and spiritual support to singles facing challenges in their lives, offers forums for facilitated discussion on topics of interest, and provides opportunities for social interaction among singles in safe and comfortable environments.
This group of men is responsible for setting up and preparing The Tabernacle for Sunday worship on Saturday evening. They are also responsible for taking down The Tabernacle after worship services.
This ministry provides audiovisual services as requested for all church functions. This ministry is also responsible for recording all Sunday worship services, revivals, and other special services, programs, audiovisual announcements, and other events as authorized by the Pastor. These services are recorded onto audiotapes and CDs which are made available for distribution.

Every member of the Church is a member of one of the twelve (12) Tribes, that embrace each member as a part of a smaller church-family unit within the larger church body. Tribes serve as a major communications link and nurture members on a regular basis through calls, cards, visits, and gatherings. Tribes are named for the twelve tribes of Israel: Asher, Benjamin, Dan, Gad, Issachar, Joseph, Judah, Levi, Naphtali, Reuben, Simeon, and Zebulun. Elder Anita Moore-Hackney is the Ministry Leader/Coordinator.
The Usher Ministry supports the worship services, various church-related activities and events, and they prepare The Tabernacle for service. Their primary responsibilities include guarding the doors; greeting worshipers and directing them to seats; distributing bulletins, programs, and offering envelopes; ensuring that worshipers are comfortable; assisting in receiving tithes and offerings; tidying The Tabernacle after services; and performing other duties related to door-keeping.
Brother Kirk Pinckney is the Ministry Leader.
The Women’s Ministry (to which all women of the church belong) is called Our Sister’s Keepers. It is dedicated to helping women become even stronger women of God, love God supremely, be true followers of His word, and support and encourage one another. The Women’s Ministry meets every other month.

The Youth Revolution Ministry works to nurture the youth and young adult toward spiritual growth, mental maturity, and social stability. Through a variety of age-appropriate activities, this ministry helps and encourages each participant to lead Christ-centered lives and empowers them to impact their family, friends, and community.
